Years, holidays, and Eids have passed and our abducted sons’ situation remains unchanged. They suffer bitterness of being let down. Their families’ conditions have worsened while there is no close hope to have their stolen freedom back.
At Abductees’ Mothers Association, we have assembled here by the office of UN’s Special Envoy to condemn the disregard of Yemeni parties for the suffering of 624 abductees and forcibly disappeared persons, including four women, held by Houthi armed group, and 25 detainees held by the government. We demand the international community to mount the necessary pressure on these parties to completely workout the abductees’ case in order to lasting peace and harmony.
We demand the immediate release of abducted women and civilians, and forcibly disappeared persons unconditionally, as the prolonged detention and disappearance doubles their and their families’ suffering.
Issued by Abductees’ Mothers Association.
