Abductees Mothers Association Urgent Report Calling to Save Abductees Who Went on Hunger Strike

For the past years, Houthi armed group has continued to illegally abduct and detain hundreds of civilians. As a result of the repeated false promises of freedom, our abducted sons, held at Althawra Prison in Sana’a, declared going on a hunger strike four days ago as a protest against their long unlawful detention and a demanding their full freedom.

We, at Abductees’ Mothers Association, call upon human rights organizations and activists to save or abducted and forcibly hidden sons. We demand the United Nations and its Special Envoy to Yemen to immediately push forwards with abductees negotiations in order to release all the abductees and forcibly hidden individuals. Lastly, we hold Houthi armed group responsible for the lives and safety of our abducted and forcibly hidden sons and demand their immediate and unconditional release.
