Iftar event and Ramadan evening in Ma’rib marking International Women’s Day

The Abductees’ Mothers Association organized a Ramadan iftar and evening gathering in Ma’rib, coinciding with International Women’s Day. The event was attended by a number of women leaders and representatives of civil society organizations, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere reflecting the spirit of the holy month and highlighting the role of women in society.

During the evening, the head of the Association’s branch delivered a speech emphasizing the pivotal role women play in building society. She praised the resilience of mothers and their ongoing efforts to advocate for abductees and demand justice and fairness, despite the challenges and difficult circumstances.

The evening also featured entertainment segments and cultural competitions that fostered a sense of connection and engagement among attendees, helping to strengthen solidarity and closeness among participants.

At the end of the event, participants stressed the importance of continuing such gatherings, as they contribute to highlighting women’s roles and enhancing their presence in various social and humanitarian issues.
