In its protesting rally in Aden; Abductees Mothers Association demands government to release arbitrarily arrested and forcibly disappeared persons.

In its rally by Ma’asheeq Presidential Palace in Aden, Abductees’ Mothers Association demanded the recently-appointed government to immediately release all arbitrarily arrested and forcibly disappeared perons held by Security Belt forces in Aden.

In the rally statement, Abductees’ Mothers Association demanded the government, headed by Prime Minister, Mu’een Abdulmalek, and all competent authorities to uncover the fate of 39 civilians who had been forcibly disappeared by Security Belt forces in Aden for four years, and to carry out the legal process of 39 arbitrarily arrested civilians held at Be’er Ahmed Prison, as no actions had been taken regarding their case.

The association called upon the government to uncover the fate of forcibly disappeared persons, and grant the arbitrarily arrested individuals their legal rights.

It highlighted the silence they face from the government and excluding the case from Riyadh Agreement and the government’s agenda, whose appointment gave families the hope of saving and safely reuniting with their relatives.

Additionally, Abductees’ Mothers Association called upon all human rights organizations to stand by mothers’ fair demands to bring the perpetrators of forced disappearance and torture to justice in order to be held accountable for their actions, and to end the illegal violations against civilians.
