Abductees’ Mothers Association calls to save its abducted sons who have been held at Be’er Ahmed Prison in Aden for three years. For the past four days, the abductees have gone on a hunger strike, protesting against the derailing and prolonging of their legal processes by authorities, and detention of others longer than the statutory limitation period without interrogation or trial.
39 abductees declared that their strike will continue until their cases are processed again and their judgements are issued. The cases, themselves, had been stopped due to the judicial mass strike in Aden.
At Abductees’ Mothers Association, we hold the competent authorities and Be’er Ahmed Prison administration responsible for the lives and safety of the abductees held there. We demand taking serious actions to immediately resume the legal processes of their cases in order to protect the abductees and their rights.
