As part of the “She Builds Peace” campaign, the Abductees’ Mothers Association, in partnership with the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN), conducted a training workshop on women’s leadership pathways this past Saturday, with the participation of 10 women’s civil society organizations in Ma’rib Governorate.
he workshop covered three pathways within the governmental sector: the enablers’ pathway, the pathway for creating a conducive environment for women, and the legislative and regulatory pathway for empowering women in civil service.
During the event, participants discussed these pathways from their perspectives, the challenges women might face, and proposed solutions to overcome these obstacles. They also emphasized the importance of empowering women in decision-making positions and their role in achieving sustainable development.
The participants stressed the importance of campaigns that raise awareness about involving women in decision-making, advocate for the enforcement of laws concerning women, and offer training and development to prepare women for leadership positions, contributing to peacebuilding efforts.
