Abductees Mothers Association participates at Womens Day ceremony in Marib

Abductees’ Mothers Association participated at Women’s Day ceremony, which was organized by the general management of Woman Development, along many civil society organizations.

The association’s representative made a speech during the ceremony praising women’s roles in building community, both economically and socially. The representative talked about the suffering of abductees’ mothers and wives, and the hardships the face during war and displacement, and condemned the abduction, forced disappearance, and torture they were subjected to.

The speech was concluded by calling upon international and national human rights organizations to stand by women in Yemen in order to grant them all their rights, to preserve their dignity, to release forcibly disappeared and abducted women, and to release all abductees so that mothers and wives can feel secure and safe.
