Abductees Mothers Association statement in Taiz

Eids and occasions have been passing by abductees’ mothers, wives, and children while their relatives are still unlawfully detained or illegally disappeared, preventing them from the joy and spirit of Eid.

305 abductees from Taiz are still detained at Houthi prisons where they are subjected to torture and mistreatment. 31 of them are suffering from chronic diseases, yet are not provided with the necessary medical care. Moreover, while there have been several suspected cases of Covid-19 at Alsaleh Prison in Taiz, no medical care is provided in prison in order to stop the spread of the disease among abductees.

Abductees Mothers Association statement in TaizAt Abductees’ Mothers Association in Taiz, we demand, in our rally by the governorate administration building, the immediate release of our abducted and forcibly disappeared sons from Houthi prisons unconditionally, and call upon the United Nations, its Special Envoy, and all human rights organizations to step up the pressure on Houthi armed group until all abductees and forcibly disappeared persons are free.
