Abductees’ Mothers Association received an urgent report this evening from Central Security Prison in Sana’a. the report stated that two abductees, Noor Aldeen Murzeyah and Mohammed Wasel, have been suspected of being infected by Covid-19, and moved to prison quarantine while their conditions were serious.
Abductees’ mothers have been living in grim worries and fears for the lives and safety of their abducted and forcibly disappeared sons, who have illegally and unfairly spent more than four years at prisons. Many Eids and occasions have passed by abductees’ families while they were wishing to celebrate with them.
At Abductees’ Mothers Association, we urgently demand to immediately release all abductees, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons from Central Security Prison, especially after reporting the cases of Corona Virus in Prison. We call upon the United Nations, Special Envoy, and humanitarian international organizations, mainly OHCHR and ICRC, to fulfil their duty regarding abductees’ prolonged case.
