The Chairperson of the Abductees’ Mothers Association, Amat Al-Salam Al-Hajj, met with the Prime Minister of the legitimate government in Aden this morning to discuss the cases of abductees, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons, and to explore ways to secure their unconditional release.
Al-Haj emphasized the government’s full responsibility to actively address the file of abductees, detainees, and the forcibly disappeared, and to work seriously toward their unconditional release.
She also called for disclosing the fate of the forcibly disappeared in Aden, in order to end their prolonged suffering and that of their families.
The Prime Minister responded positively to these demands, affirming his commitment to the issue and his intent to follow up with the relevant authorities.
Al-Hajj further stressed the need for the government to issue serious appeals to the international community and relevant organizations to pressure the Houthi group to release all abductees, including UN and international employees.
She expressed appreciation for the government’s attention to and support for the Association’s efforts, which call for the unconditional release of all abductees, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons by all parties, as well as the accountability of perpetrators and redress for victims.
