Human Rights Deputy-Minister praises the efforts of Abductees Mothers Association.

At its office in Marib, Abductees’ Mothers Association hosted Deputy-Minister of Human Rights, Majed Fadhail, who visited paid the visit to check on and show support to the association’s activities regarding the case of abductees and arbitrarily arrested and forcibly disappeared person, and its documentation of the violations against the abductees at prisons.
During the meeting, the conditions of abductees and released abductees were discussed, as well as the difficulties they face after release without jobs and homes.
Fadhail shows his attention and preparation to help the association’s efforts in order to aid the former abductees who are suffering from chronic diseases or permanent injuries due to the torture they endured in prisons.
The association thanked Deputy Fadhail for his effort regarding the abductees’ case, who, in turn, extended the government’s appreciation to the association for their determined efforts to release all abductees and arbitrarily detained and forcibly disappeared individuals. He assured the association that Ministry of Human Rights is greatly interested in making a strategic collaboration with Abductees’ Mothers Association. He pointed out that the government, mainly the Ministry of Human Rights, and human rights organizations are basically responsible for providing the necessary support for abductions victims to ease the agony and torture they faced in prisons, and stressed on the importance of documenting such crimes, as the first step to achieve justice and preserve the rights of victims.
