In conjunction with UN Special Envoy visit to Yemen; Abductees Mothers Association demands international community to mount pressure to work on abductees case.

Abductees’ Mothers Association demanded the international community to mount the necessary pressure on Yemeni parties to completely workout the abductees’ case in order to lasting peace and harmony.

In their rally this morning by the office of UN’s Special Envoy, mothers condemned the disregard of Yemeni parties for the suffering of 624 abductees and forcibly disappeared persons, including four women, held by Houthi armed group, and 25 detainees held by the government.

In the rally statement, mothers demanded the immediate release of abducted women and civilians, and forcibly disappeared persons unconditionally. It added that years, holidays, and Eids had passed and the abductees’ situation remains unchanged. They suffered bitterness of being let down and their families’ conditions had worsened while there was no hope to have their stolen freedom back.

In the rally, mothers held banners that showed their condemnation of prolonging their sons’ detention and disappearance which doubles their and their families’ suffering.
