Joint Statement on the Occasion of International Human Rights Day

On International Human Rights Day, a full decade of war in Yemen has devastated the country’s human rights and social fabric, deepening the suffering of millions of Yemenis who continue to wait for the day they can reclaim their full rights, freedoms, dignity, and the values of justice and accountability.

The Abductees Mothers Association has documented more than 1,083 cases of civilian abductions and 305 cases of enforced disappearance committed by all parties to the conflict in Yemen. Their release is an inherent and fundamental human right.
