The Abductees’ Mothers Association has documented violations committed against Yemeni women activists both online and on the ground, as well as their impact on women’s civic and political participation in the peacebuilding process during the period from 2020 to mid-2025. The documentation also highlights ways to strengthen mechanisms for protecting peace activism, .
This map is presented as part of the activities of the project “Protecting Civil and Women’s Spaces and Promoting Women’s Role in the Peace Process”, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the United Nations Peace Support Facility (PSF).
It is worth noting that these violations were raised during dialogue sessions organized by the Association over the past period in five districts of Taiz (Al-Mudhaffar, Al-Qahirah, Al-Shamayatayn, Salah, and Al-Ma’afer). The sessions brought together a number of women activists, women’s rights advocates, community leaders, and preachers.
