On the tenth anniversary of its establishment, the Abductees’ Mothers Association held a commemorative event in Ma’rib through its local branch, attended by the Association’s Vice Chairwoman, Mahfodah Ahmed, and the Director of the Ma’rib branch, Sabah Suwaid, along with a number of human rights activists, released detainees, and families of abductees

During the event, the Vice Chairwoman delivered a speech reviewing the Association’s journey since its founding and highlighting its continuous efforts to advocate for abductees and defend their rights. She also addressed the challenges the Association has faced over the past ten years and emphasized the determination of the mothers to continue their humanitarian struggle. In her speech, she also announced the launch of the Association’s electronic platform, which aims to document violations, amplify the voices of abductees and their families before local and international audiences, and facilitate access to information related to the issue.

The event included an open discussion among attendees, during which participants exchanged views on ways to strengthen human rights efforts and stressed the importance of uniting voices to demand the release of all abductees and the achievement of justice.

The commemoration reaffirmed the Abductees’ Mothers Association’s continued commitment to its humanitarian mission and renewed its pledge to defend the cause of abductees until justice is achieved and their suffering comes to an end.
