Within the framework of the “Building the Capacity of Women Peace Mediators 2” project, funded by the Saferworld , the Abductees’ Mothers Association in Taiz discussed on Wednesday, December 7/2023, the outcomes of the recommendations for involving women in decision-making and peacebuilding in Yemen, in the presence of local authority representatives and decision-makers.
The meeting discussed the outcomes of the recommendations paper for the workshop held last November 22,2023 which aims to involve women in decision-making and peace-building in society.


During the meeting, the participants added some recommendations through which the role of women can be strengthened in all local and international bodies, the most prominent of which are: Discussing the outcomes with decision makers to work on involving women and creating a database of qualified women to accommodate them in decisions, as well as pressuring parties to empower women and pay attention to education and its outcomes to accommodate the cognitive aspect of women’s rights and international resolutions.
