The Abductees’ Mothers Association, a member of the Coordination Committee of the Aba’ad Coalition for Advocacy and Women’s Empowerment, participated in the coalition’s first introductory meeting held in Aden Governorate, aimed at strengthening the role of women and promoting human rights in Yemen.
The meeting brought together representatives from around 20 human rights and civil society organizations from various Yemeni governorates. It was organized in partnership with Oxfam and supported by the European Union to unify efforts in advocating for women’s issues and human rights.
The meeting also reviewed available protection mechanisms, while participants discussed ways to empower women, enhance their participation across different sectors, support their presence in development and human rights arenas, and ensure their access to all legitimate rights and opportunities.
