The Abductees’ Mothers Association expresses its deep concern over the plight of abductees, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons held by all parties, especially in light of the recent escalation of US airstrikes targeting several Yemeni governorates. These attacks heighten the risks to their lives and intensify their suffering, as well as that of their families.
The continued detention of these individuals under such dire conditions endangers their lives, constitutes a blatant violation of human rights, and increases the fears of abductees and their families of another tragedy—like the bombing of the Community College in Dhamar, where dozens of abductees detained by the Houthi group were killed.
In this blessed month, we issue a heartfelt humanitarian appeal to all responsible parties and decision-makers, calling for the immediate release of all abductees, detainees, and forcibly disappeared persons, ensuring their safe return to their families.
The ongoing abduction and detention of innocent individuals, exposing them to danger under these harsh conditions, violates all humanitarian values. We hope our call will receive an urgent response from all concerned parties.
