Urgent statement by the Abductees’ Mothers Association condemning the violations taking place against the abductees of the Central Prison in Sana’a

In an urgent statement received by the Abductees’ Mothers Association from the families of the abductees of the Central Prison in Sana’a, it states that they have been subjected to torture and have been prevented from eating, visiting, and communicating with their families. Additionally, a group of them have been being isolated in the “psychiatric hospital” – where the mentally ill are detained – and some of them have been detained in confined cell called, “pressure”, where they have been held in harsh conditions; allowing them not to move or breathe normally.

We, in the Abductees’ Mothers Association, strongly condemn these serious violations against our sons in the Central Prison, which represent a serious threat to their lives and safety by the Houthi group. We hold Houthis fully responsible for the psychological and physical safety of the abductees.

We also call on all noble people in Yemen and all local and international human rights organizations to urgently intervene and stop these ongoing violations against our abducted sons and pressurize to release them unconditionally.
