Abductees Mothers Association rally statement in Al-Hudayda amidst Geneva negotiations

Negotiations start and end while our sons are still behind bars in an inhumane suffering. With each agreement, mothers’ hopes of releasing their sons fade.
Until this day, there are 200 abductees from Al-Hudayda held by Houthi armed group in horrible conditions, 92 of whom are forcibly disappeared and their families know nothing of their medical conditions.

At Abductees’ Mothers Association in Al-Hudayda, while Yemeni parties convening in Geneva, we hold both parties responsible for prolonging the implementation of agreements and promises.
We demand the United Nations, its Special Envoy, and the International Community to work on easing the suffering of our sons, and to pressure all parties to implement the international resolutions in order to immediately and unconditionally release our abducted and forcibly disappeared sons held by Houthi armed group.

Issued by Abductees’ Mothers Association, Al-Hudayda.
