The Abductees’ Mothers Association received a phone call from the Prime Minister of the internationally recognized Yemeni government, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak. He promised to prioritize the issue of abducted, detained, and forcibly disappeared individuals within the government’s agenda, aiming to release the abducted, reunite families, and alleviate their suffering and that of their relatives.

The Prime Minister extended warm greetings to all families of the abductees on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and commended the Abductees’ Mothers Association team for their advocacy and demands for the unconditional release of their loved ones.

During the call, the Chairperson of the association, Amatu Al-Salam Al-Hajj, conveyed the suffering endured by the abducted individuals and their families due to kidnappings by various parties. She stressed the need for urgent action and pressure on the Houthi group to engage in negotiations aimed at releasing the abducted individuals and resolving the abduction issue.

Additionally, she emphasized the importance of addressing the needs of the families of the abductees and implementing tangible solutions to alleviate their suffering, particularly given the challenging economic conditions in the country, with their primary breadwinners held behind bars for years.
