Abductees Mothers Association Meets the Dutch Mission in Yemen to Discuss Abductees Issues.

The head of Abductees’ Mothers Association, Amat Alsalam Al-Hajj, met with the Dutch Ambassador’s deputy to Yemen “Marieke Weerda”, and the Political Attaché at the embassy “Tessa Scholma” yesterday, Thursday, in the temporary capital, Aden.

During the meeting, Al Hajj discussed the issue of abductees, detainees and forcibly disappeared persons and their tragic conditions inside the detention centres, and the violations committed against them by the warring parties in the country.

She also touched on the suffering of the families of the abductees due to the abduction of their relatives amidst the difficult economic conditions in the country, in addition to the forcibly displaced survivors’ suffering from psychological conditions due to the torture they were subjected to during detention.

Al-Hajj stressed to the Dutch mission in Yemen on the importance of achieving justice, accountability and redressing the victims, and that there can be no peace without justice.

The head of the association requested the mission to continue its international efforts to pressure all parties to unconditionally release all abductees and hold the violators accountable in order to prevent further violations against abducted civilians.
