Abductees MothersAssociation in Al-Hudaydah demanding to release forcibly disappeared persons amid COVID-19 outbreak

In Al-Hudaydah, we, at Abductees’ Mothers Association, protesting to demand uncovering the fate of our forcibly disappeared sons who had been transferred from Central Prison in Sana’a to an unknown destination. Since Mohammed Wasel, an abductee held at Central Prison in Sana’a, was diagnosed with COVID-19, the virus has been spreading among abductees. We have been living in great fear and worry for our sons medical and mental conditions as prison administration never provide the necessary specialized medical care.

With no actions taken to improve the horrible detention conditions, we hold Houthi armed group responsible for the lives and safety of our abducted sons held at Central Prison in Sana’a and all other prisons, and demand their immediate and unconditional release.

In this protest, we call upon the United Nations, the International Red Cross, and all human rights organizations to support our cause and stand by our abducted sons as COVID-19 and its horrors have caught on to them.
