In response to the urgent needs of its staff and field committees, the Nahda Youth for Marginalized Organization conducted a training workshop on Monitoring, Documentation, and Conflict Sensitivity in Taiz.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacities of the organization’s personnel in the areas of documentation and monitoring, particularly in the context of supporting marginalized groups and documenting violations affecting women and children. The course was designed to ensure lasting impact, serving as a strategic investment in the organization’s future operational effectiveness.
Mr. Akram Al-Shuraabi, Director of the Nahda Youth for Marginalized Organization, emphasized that this training was not chosen at random. He also said that It aligned directly with their mission and responds to a critical need. He added that mnitoring and documentation are at the core of their work and represent a top priority for them.
He added that the training is expected to bring about a tangible shift in the organization’s field work, moving from theoretical understanding to effective practical application. Staff members are now better equipped to document violations, monitor conflict dynamics, and assess the needs of the marginalized communities they serve, enhancing their ability to respond more efficiently and professionally.
This training was funded by the Abductees’ Mothers Association (AMA) as part of the project “Protecting Civil and Women’s Spaces and Promoting Women’s Role in the Peace Process,” supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the United Nations Peace Support Facility (UN PSF).
